The country-inspired retreat of the Miami River Inn is hidden at the heart of downtown, and even though the only people who are aware of its four cottages are those who are in the know, this merely adds more to its flair.
With antique pieces of furniture decorating its guestrooms and polished hardwood floors adding more charm to its overall décor, it’s hard not to fall in love with this bed & breakfast. Learn more about the Miami River Inn, where one particular room provides an armoire, a handcrafted bathtub and unusually a Singer sewing machine, in this overview posted on its official website:
The Inn has four cottages with a total of 40 rooms, each uniquely decorated with antiques and period pieces. Guests can occupy a first floor room with a porch that opens to the garden area or choose a room on the second or third floors with a view of the Miami River and downtown Miami to the east… Most rooms have hardwood floors and are all decorated with brass, wood and wicker furniture. Room amenities include color cable television, touch-tone phone, central air and heat, ceiling fan and private bath… The natural outdoor beauty of the property is reminiscent of a lush tropical garden. Beautiful flowers, soaring palms and other assorted native plants surround the pool and Jacuzzi area.
